Jason Jacobs

FOUNDER AND MANAGING PARTNER

Jason started the My Climate Journey podcast in 2019 in order to scratch his own itch. He knew he wanted to make his next chapter about purpose and wanted to help with climate change, but he didn’t know how. So he started talking with fascinating and accomplished people and soon after started recording those conversations. In doing so, MCJ was born.

Previously, Jason was the Founder and CEO of Runkeeper, which he led from 2008 through the company’s acquisition by ASICS for $85M in March 2016. Post-acquisition, Jason served as ASICS Corporation’s Global Head of Digital. After departing ASICS, Jason had one entrepreneurial false start before finding his path in climate. He recounted his entrepreneurial journey in detail during his own turn as a My Climate Journey show guest in early 2022.

Jason has an BA from Wesleyan University and an MBA from Babson College, where he was an Olin Fellow. Most of his free minutes today are spent running or at the youth hockey rink, and you can follow his every thought on Twitter…he promises not to hold anything back.
